Alice Whish spent her childhood in western NSW, where she developed her love of the environment - learning the names of trees and plants, local and introduced. In a small town she learnt from family and friends about the need to act in the face of injustice.
A graduate of Sydney College of the Arts and RMIT Alice runs a studio practice making and selling works to galleries around Australia. Parallel to this she maintains a research based exhibition profile with works occasionally purchased by national and state collections. Alice has a passion for teaching and continues to run specialist workshops for craft organisations.
