An impressive force in the Australian art world, Hetti Perkins is a curator and writer whose work has shaped the way the greater population views indigenous art and culture.

A member of the northern Arrernte and Kalkadoon Aboriginal communities, Hetti is the creative director of Corroboree Sydney, as well as curatorial advisor to the City of Sydney on the ambitious Eora Journey project. Her illustrious career has involved the role of Senior Curator of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, and writer and presenter of the ABC Television’s three-part documentary, art + soul. Currently on the board of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Hetti is also working on Riverland, a major survey exhibition of Yvonne Koolmatrie’s work with the Art Gallery of South Australia for the TARNANTHI festival in October 2015.
