Rolf Barfoed

Telecom is the most recent piece in Rolf’s award-winning Exo series. Made in figured brushbox, it incorporates brass for both visual and structural value. The console table’s form reflects the softly rounded edges that signify the Exo style. Components seamlessly morph together, carrying over the details of raised-shoulder joinery and a thin-lap rebate. Rolf’s functional, restrained designs often belie the virtuosic techniques used in making them.

Rolf Barfoed designs and makes furniture from his Canberra studio. Along with his team of craftspeople, he produces a diverse folio of work including prototyping, batch production and bespoke commissions as both free-standing and built-in furniture for private and commercial clients.
