ZARA COLLINS

Zara Collins was one of thirteen Object 150 Makers during May to July 2020.

The process of transformation is at the crux of Zara Collins’ contemporary art practice. Her work is bound together by ideas of reinterpretation, appropriation and reinvention.

Zara completed a Visual Arts Degree in glass at Sydney College Arts, after graduation she started combining recycled metal and found objects in contemporary jewellery. Zara missed the magic of the kiln and has been experimenting with ceramics for the last six years, creating porcelain jewellery and small run ceramic pieces.

Zara divides her studio time between Darlinghurst, Sydney and the Illawarra coast.
