Margaret Kirkwood

With three decades of work under her silversmith belt, Margaret Kirkwood’s vast collection of jewellery design has inspired and influenced many who follow in her footsteps.

The former President of Craft Australia, Margaret draws inspiration from Australian native flora and fauna by re-imaging certain organisms as skeletal like structures. Commissioned by the NSW’s Government Premier’s Department for brooches as gifts for visiting officials, Margaret’s work is a visually impactful memento of Australia, and her innovate art practice and products set a high industry standard.
