Brian Parkes

CEO and Artistic Director of Adelaide’s JamFactory, Brian Parkes is passionate about promoting the social, cultural and economic value of creativity and design.

With a significant background in both the commercial and creative spheres of museums and galleries, previous to the JamFactory, Brian spent ten years as Associate Director and Senior Curator at the Australian Design Centre, putting together several important exhibitions including the landmark survey of contemporary Australian design, Freestyle: New Australian Design for Living. With an impressive talent for uncovering emerging designers, as well as innovation in retailing, the Australian Design Centre looks to Brian as a source of expertise in these fields.
