An interaction designer and researcher currently directing the Exertion Games Lab at RMIT University in Melbourne, Florian Mueller is an expert in digital games that require intense physical effort, or exertion games.

Inventing a future of bodily play in a bid to facilitate real changes to health and obesity issues, Mueller’s research spans interaction design, human- computer interaction, computer, information and sports science, as well as philosophy, mechanical and electrical engineering. Having worked across four continents with the likes of research teams designing the Xbox Kinect, the Australian Design Centre believes Mueller’s work will help pave the way for the future of the exertion gaming industry.
