John O'Callaghan

Recognised as one of Australia’s most progressive thinkers in urban strategy and development, John O’Callaghan is an urban planner specialising in place, community and technology.

Passionate about making our cities more livable through creativity and innovation, O’Callaghan is the director of urban planning practice JOC Consulting, the founder of collaborative blogging platform Trending City, and the co-founder of Idea Bombing Sydney, a creative meetup focused on turning ideas into action. Additionally, O’Callaghan is a leading voice in social media and the Australian Design Centre believes he is pioneering new ways of communicating the impact of public space design to the general public.
