Khai Liew

Drawing on his Malaysian heritage and his experience and knowledge as a conservator, Khai Liew creates sleek yet highly detailed furniture and other practical objects.

His works have been exhibited at prestigious institutions, including the Design Museum London and the National Gallery of Australia, and take up residence in countless private collections. Informed by the old and new, the regional and international, Khai is widely recognised for his unique and passionate contribution to the development of a modernist Australian design aesthetic, and his distinctive style is one that the Australian Design Centre believes to be highly influential and sought after.
