Inspired by architecture, the landscape, the social condition of the body and her everyday surroundings – which also frequently provide materials for her work – Melinda Young is a contemporary jeweller with extensive solo and group show experience.

Her work has been included in the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences exhibition, ‘A fine possession: Jewellery and Identity’, and is held in public collections at The Art Gallery of South Australia, and the Norwegian Museum of Art, Architecture & Design in Oslo, Norway. With a practice spanning one-off exhibition pieces, bespoke commissions, and limited edition production ranges, Young’s pieces are made by hand, and frequently toy with our perceptions of ‘the natural.’
