Health technology designer Leah Heiss and hearing expert Elaine Saunders have created an innovative co-design workshop to engage people with designing technologies for health and well-being, challenging participants to question how we can improve or reimagine such devices.

A presentation from Leah and Elaine will introduce the topic and locate their expertise in developing human-centred wearable technologies. Participants will then learn how to use co-design techniques to generate approaches to the development of technologies to better address real-world health issues. Ideas will be explored through drawing, film, photography and modelling, giving the audience an enriching, hands-on experience.

Learn how to workshop devices, artefacts, and wearables that augment our understanding of the world and suggest new ways to understand the self, others and the environment.

This event will be presented as part of Australian Design Centre exhibition CUSP: Designing into the Next Decade.
