"I am interested in using plastic materials and making processes and techniques that challenge traditional crafts to sustain life development. Making rings meets my need to create wearable objects that have special significance and are likely to arouse feelings and concerns of wearers and viewers about coral bleaching. The ring could then be used as a portable tool to communicate the idea of continuous life development."

From China, Dong Zheng is currently studying at UNSW Art and Design.
