"We all need repairing in some way right now and this series entwines a lifelong dedication to making and repair, usually with fabric and thread. The dualism of stitching and enamelling coalesce to create a new way of looking at the discarded - Reuse is a way of life. Re-scued, Re-skewed – familiar utilitarian enamelware is rescued and repaired, embellished with repetitive, meditative stitching. Reimagining the objects' stories by combining an appreciation of techniques and craftsmanship. Through visible mending, new life is breathed into throwaway items."

Kirsten Junor has worked extensively in textiles, making costumes for films and screen-printing cloth for contemporary crafters. In 2017, Kirsten developed a passion for jewellery after undertaking a course at SquarePeg Studios. In 2018, she participated in a liquid enamelling course that directly informs her current practice. Kirsten is a collector of the discarded, a repairer and maker who finds beauty in utilitarian and discarded objects. Kirsten has exhibited in numerous exhibitions and held her first solo exhibition 'Lost Relics' in 2020.
