About the Work
Remnant - Tor Born, 2023
Papua New Guinea rosewood
$7,560
This work is David’s first sculpture in 50 years. It relates to the human compulsion to establish a sense of place in a rapidly declining environment. He has reimagined the granite tors of Magnetic Island in Queensland, symbolising a remnant from an earlier civilisation.
