The clock’s geometry and composition layers simple shapes: circles, rectangles and trapezoids. Each element is essential, nothing is purely decorative, pushing the limits of the material.

About Will Matthysen

Will is based in Warrandyte, Victoria. For 30 years he has designed and made over 200 mechanical clocks for clients and collectors in Australia and overseas. He makes all the wood and mechanical components and combines both techniques into an integrated contemporary design. Will exhibits his work regularly, has won numerous awards and is included in many publications.
