Reunion with old friends reflects on revisiting the past and embracing emotions and memories.

The presence of old friends symbolises the return of familiar emotions and states of mind. Although I’m initially tempted to dismiss them, acknowledging their presence allows for a clearer understanding of myself.

I portray this process as a cathartic reunion, granting these faces a temporary home before bidding them farewell, evoking a deep sense of nostalgia and introspection, inviting viewers to delve into their own journeys of self-discovery and reflection.

About Ellen Bagge

Ellen Bagge is a Swedish ceramic artist.

Ellen immerses herself in the material, letting her intuition serve as a guiding force throughout her creative process. The dialogue between her and the clay is a deeply attentive and collaborative one. Taking risks in different ways is an important part of her practice, enabling her to continuously glean valuable lessons from each piece she creates.

In October 2021 she had her first solo show in Stockholm, Sweden. In January 2022 she finished her studies in Exhibition Design and Knowledge of Colour at Malmoe University. In March 2022 she became a member at kil.n.it Experimental Studios and by July 2022 she'd become a Studio Artist. Since then she has together with kil.n.it participated in three group exhibitions and in August 2023 she took on the role as Assistant Manager at kil.n.it studios next to Manager Ella Tindal.
