Helen Britton is a multidisciplinary Australian artist born in regional NSW and based in Munich, Germany. Her practice includes jewellery, sculpture, drawings, stencils and installations, and is informed by popular culture and folk art, threatened traditions, environmental destruction and human anxiety.

“Trawling the ruins, the shards, the rubble of history, selecting materials and forms that release an emotional impulse we tell a story here with this work - not a story of excess, of bounty, but of poignant observation.”

Helen Britton will be the tenth artist in Australian Design Centre’s Living Treasures: Masters of Australian Craft series of national touring exhibitions launching in 2025.

Helen Britton is represented by Gallery Funaki.
