Double Decker, 2020
Inspired by the Australian furniture of the 1960s, Double Decker is a modern take on a two-layered coffee table. Its compact size and two layers offer practical everyday use. The tabletops rounded shape and filleted edges give it a clean modern look. The Double Decker is made using CNC machine or by the use of jigs, it is made on demand or as a batch product.
Big Round, 2019
Big Round is a coffee table designed to make a statement, the large surface made of agglomerated cork draws the eye. The cork top has been made with soft curves and big radii to balance the texture of the top. The powder-coated steel base is designed with a visual-symmetry considered but simple to showcase the appeal of the top. The tabletop for Big Round is made using CNC machine and the frame is made in batches, Big Round is made on demand or as a batch product.

Biography
Max Harper is an award winning independent designer with a special interest in lighting and furniture. He developed an eye for detail and an interest in lighting whilst working in commercial lighting in Melbourne. Max’s products follow an ideal of being simple yet playful often incorporating narrative into his designs.
His studio focuses on sustainability and innovation in materials as well as ease of manufacture. The focus of his studio is to collaborate with manufacturers here in Australia and define himself as part of the emerging talent in the Australian design landscape.
