Melbourne-based artist and designer Leah Heiss’ deeply collaborative practice is located at the nexus of art, design and science, and by combining visually stunning jewellery with medical technology, her devices are not only a keepsake, but ones that have the power to keep those in need healthy.

With projects including jewellery to administer insulin through the skin, new forms for hearing technologies, biosignal emergency jewellery, and swallowable devices to detect disease, the Australian Design Centre believes Leah’s work will radically improve the development of therapeutic technologies.
