Ceramic Stories [digital connections]

Ceramic Stories [digital connections] presents diverse ceramic sculptures, objects and installations fused with digital activations.

Four Sydney-based emerging ceramic artists tell stories about their cultural backgrounds and influences drawing on playful childhood memories, sacred geometry and classic Indian architecture, materiality, Chinese literature and more.

Digital elements, including augmented reality, virtual reality and animation, invite all of us to play and interact with the work in surprising and experiential ways.

Guest emerging curator Elaine Kim, worked with the ADC team and the creative practitioners to explore, present and engage with new ways of exhibiting the handcrafted with technology.

Artists featured are Casey Chen, Sebastian Conti, Sarah Eddowes and Midori Goto.

Digital interactions were developed by June Kim with assistance from Jess Montecinos and Fiona Jung.

Clay Play with Midori Goto

Come for some holiday craft at Australian Design Centre to explore play with clay. Hosted by Midori Goto, ceramic artist in Ceramic Stories [digital connections], participants will take home their own summer holiday inspired sculptures.
