The Art of Making presents finely crafted and intelligently designed works in wood. The exhibition celebrates this craft form by highlighting a selection of work by designer makers who are members of Studio Woodworkers Australia.
This exhibition at Australian Design Centre, Light from Nature: Kim Dong Wan and Lucy Simpson showcases a cross-cultural collaboration, featuring Kim's glass works incorporating ottchil, and Simpson's representations of dhanggal (mussels) and giba (grinding stones).
These handmade kettles are unique, collectible pieces designed to last a lifetime. Hammered and welded into shape by hand, these kettles bear the mark of their designer maker, Sean O’Connell.
