NSW and ACT contemporary textile artists are invited to apply for the Seed Stitch Contemporary Textile Award.
Seed Stitch Contemporary Textile Award (SSCTA) recognises highly skilled and diverse textile artists. Following the successful presentation of the SSCTA in 2018 and 2020, Australian Design Centre is delighted to present this award for a third time. This year, we will be opening entries to textile and fibre artists from the ACT as well as NSW.
The exhibition of finalists will be held in the newly created second gallery space in the Centre in October-November 2022. Courtesy of our regional partner Tamworth Regional Art Gallery the exhibition will then be presented in Tamworth as part of the ADC On Tour national exhibition touring program.
APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN
We are seeking applications from textile artists at any stage of their career residing in NSW and ACT. Applications will close Monday 15 August.
There is no entry fee this year. Works entered should be no greater 650mm x 650mm in size.
AWARDS
Seed Stitch Contemporary Textile Award - A $1000 cash prize donated by ADC.
Australian Design Centre Award - An opportunity to exhibit in ADC's window gallery Object Space in 2023.
