As the Design Canberra Festival kicks in to gear this month, we put a spotlight on Object Shop’s Canberra based makers and designers: AMPM Ceramics, Clare Mazitelli, Girl Nomad Ceramics, Harriet Schwarzrock, Jennifer Robertson and Julie Pennington.

Australian Design Centre partnered with Indigenous Jewellery Project’s Emily McCulloch Childs and contemporary jeweller, Melinda Young and Yuwaalaraay sisters Lucy and Nardi Simpson on a week of workshops in the regional NSW town of Walgett. 

The Australia Council has announced its new vision for a creatively connected Australia where creative enterprise is entrenched across society, industry and government as the  fuel that ignites our social, cultural and economic  success.
