Update

With the Covid-19 restrictions lifting, we are planning to open the Centre on Tuesday 9 June. More about our plans for reopening soon!

Following government advice to close non-essential public spaces, Australian Design Centre will close to the public until further notice to help protect the health of all visitors and staff and minimise the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus).

We strongly believe (and science backs this up) that the craft, design and creativity are vital for our community, especially in difficult times, contributing to well-being and reducing stress and anxiety.

While our public spaces are closed, the ADC team will continue our work behind the scenes. We are developing new digital experiences linking you with artists, crafts people and designers, and will be sharing these over the coming weeks.

Please join us online. We’ll be active on our social media channels Facebook and InstagramSign up to our database for email news.

The coming months will be difficult for everyone. ADC has been a pivotal part of the craft scene in Sydney since 1964. As a not-for-profit organisation, this closure will have a significant impact on us financially and the creative practitioners that we support. With your help we can continue to support our community through this difficult period. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation or becoming an ADC Friend.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Centre as soon as circumstances allow.

Stay safe and well.
