Last month we took the work of ten designer/makers to Melbourne for Melbourne Design Fair. It was a fantastic experience meeting over ten thousand visitors and introducing them to the makers and their work.

A huge thank you to booth collaborators Australian Tapestry Workshop and co-curator Rina Bernabei, as well to the organisers the National Gallery of Victoria and the Melbourne Art Foundation.

ADC’s CEO & Artistic Director Lisa Cahill and Creative Programs Producer Fiona Pulford were on the ground in Melbourne for the event, ensuring all of the works were couriered, bumped in, presented beautifully and at the ready to interact with designers and visitors alike.

There was a brilliant buzz at the Fair for the full five days, seeing a variety of people through the doors to experience and appreciate the calibre of design on show. Being a part of Melbourne Design Fair was a great way for designers to connect with an array of people within the industry and with individual design lovers.

With works for sale from more than 150 designers across 60+ presentations, Melbourne Design Fair is an annual platform curated by the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) and delivered in collaboration with the Melbourne Art Foundation — giving the opportunity for designers, commercial galleries, design agencies and organisations to come-together under one roof to promote and sell the best collectible design from Australia and the world.

Thanks to all the people who came to see the magnificent works on display from our featured designers: bernabeifreeman, Jan Downes, Ben McCarthy, Stephanie Phillips, Timothy Robertson, Kenny (Yong-soo) Son, Upcycled Glassware, Zoë Veness, Dominic White, and Liz Williamson.
