Australian Design Centre (ADC) plays a critical role in celebrating contemporary craft and design practice and creative practitioners who embrace the highest degree of craftsmanship and who continually explore material, process and ideas.

Object Space is a window gallery located in the window of the ADC Offices on William Street in Darlinghurst. The City of Sydney estimates that car and foot traffic account for about 80,000 people each day travel along William Street between the City and Kings Cross. Since 2017 we have presented 21 exhibitions in Object Space.

The exhibition space is 1000mm deep x 1700mm wide x 2700 high and has direct street frontage, is accessible to view 24 hours a day and lit for viewing at night. We are looking for proposals from practitioners working in all forms of craft and design. Your exhibition idea will need to take account of the available space and create impact as a window display.

We are calling for applications from New South Wales designers and makers to exhibit in Object Space in 2021. There are three exhibition opportunities available this year.  ADC is offering a $1000 exhibition fee in addition to exhibition installation, signage and marketing.

If you are interested in this opportunity please email us hello@australiandesigncentre.com by the close of business on Friday 19 February about your exhibition idea and attach your CV.
