Australian Design Centre (ADC) is an integral part of the arts ecology in Australia. This small, dynamic, independent organisation has nurtured and supported thousands of artists since 1964, presenting their work locally, nationally and internationally across extensive exhibition, touring, retail, publishing and digital platforms.

We are delighted to announce the 36 selected finalists for the 2025 MAKE Award: Biennial Prize for Innovation in Australian Craft and Design. It is the richest non-acquisitive prize for craft and design in Australia. The winner will receive a cash prize of $35,000 and a second prize of $10,000 will be awarded.

A huge thanks from all of us at ADC to the generous people who donated to the Plus 1 matched funding campaign. Through their generosity we have reached our target of $50,000 which means that Creative Australia will match this with another $50,000.

After a series of successful Saturday Maker Markets at the Centre, ADC will be continuing the series throughout the remainder of 2025. Last weekend we welcomed to ADC many of the artists from across Australia for a special celebration who are represented by Sabbia Gallery in honour of the galleries 20th anniversary.
