There is so much happening in Sydney these holidays.  We’ve rounded up our selection of the best exhibitions in town that we’re planning to visit over the break. 

In 2020, we present 17 exhibitions and over 100 events in our three gallery spaces, 12 ADC On Tour openings and 200+ citywide events for Sydney Craft Week.

The Australia Council has announced its new vision for a creatively connected Australia where creative enterprise is entrenched across society, industry and government as the  fuel that ignites our social, cultural and economic  success.

As the Design Canberra Festival kicks in to gear this month, we put a spotlight on Object Shop’s Canberra based makers and designers: AMPM Ceramics, Clare Mazitelli, Girl Nomad Ceramics, Harriet Schwarzrock, Jennifer Robertson and Julie Pennington.

Australian Design Centre partnered with Indigenous Jewellery Project’s Emily McCulloch Childs and contemporary jeweller, Melinda Young and Yuwaalaraay sisters Lucy and Nardi Simpson on a week of workshops in the regional NSW town of Walgett.

Pressing PLAY on the third annual Sydney Craft Week Festival with 150+ events including: 37 exhibitions, 6 talks, 57 workshops, 13 markets and retail events, 30 open studios and 13 live demonstrations.

ADC's Object Shop now stocks the beautiful tableware range by JamFactory, featuring a collection of ceramics, glassware and metalwork. We chat with Lucy Potter, Head of Retail and Wholesale Sales at JamFactory to learn more about their range and retail spaces.

ADC presents Real to Reel: The Craft Film Festival in Sydney on 5 and 6 September 2018 at the Chauvel Cinema Paddington. 

We’re excited to announce that Australian Design Centre has been shortlisted for the NSW Government’s My Community grant program with a proposal for a landscape designed Indigenous Edible Garden outside the entrance to the Centre.
